  Reverse psyhology. True. I'd suggest taking a flask for a nip in the cold weather and an Ipod.......bye honey.... have a great day.....:)

  Then when he comes home tell him of a great book you read and all the wonderful things you did with your time.....

  Honest survey question on effectiveness of 'apostacy'

  it seems like lots of people have big dreams of 'destroying the watchtower'.

  it's usually linked to a story of how they were wronged and want some revenge.

  do these 'in your face' attempts to convince people that the truth isn't the truth really have an effect?.

  Maintaining Faith In God As An Ex-JW

  as i fade further from the jws, i'm finding it increasingly hard to maintain faith in god.

  i've been exploring many alternatives from atheism, agnostic, apathetic, pagan, and satanism (not devil worship, but the promotion of self-indulgence) to name a few.

  i'm thoroughly intrigued to learn how those of you who remained christian managed to maintain your faith in god and christ, especially after enduring all the lies that we've been told about them.

  I do remember BOTR! That's when you were posting false statements about Rick Simons and the Conti case. I remember you even called him a money grubber.

  I also recall you recieved both a private and public apology from me. Though you were absoulutely incorrect about your estimation of the Conti case as well as Simons, it wasn't nessasary for me to make that statemnt. However, it seems you have not accepted my first apology...so be it.......

  as a daily visitor of this site i am shocked by how judgemental i am.. .

  if someone makes a valid point but does not spell well it colours my judgement.. .

  if someone who is a clown has excellent grammar i give them leeway.. as an aside i am a gramaphobe.. .

  I sure wasn't ready for that and surprised it was allowed. Despite my reaction, I was very fragile at the time due to my one and only kid whom I was very close to, began studying with the JW's and shunning me. She also became a robot....not the girl I raised....

  The good news is.......she's starting to talk to me again....and not about religion...... FU WT!

  Yeah, too bad you're such a snob.....I attribute my poor grammar and spelling due to running away from home @ 11years. Had to get away from an abusive/whacked out JW mother. My edumecation? Very limited.

  But then again. I guess I'm one too. Ugly and fat people drive me nuts! Oh! And those old pathetic wrinkly ones?! Yikes!!

  LOL.....of course I'm being a smart ass.....but not really....but I am....but maybe not.....get my drift...

  Really? Mean spirited now? Ha! It's actually toned down A LOT! Newer posters have brought a sort of mellowing......

  When I first started it was shoot out at the ok corral.......

  first of all let me start by saying who am i to judge, but... i understand jwn has completely evolved over the years, but what i would like to see a forum that has current members and former jw's that still live by bible principles and respect the bible, but are not afraid to call out the watchtower on their practices and revised history.

  i think quality posters as mentioned above, after venting their frustrations and experiences realize this website is taken over by athiests.

  nowwhat? You're mistaken. MANY posters have moved on because JWN has helped them to start really living a life away from the forum. Others have been booted out. Others have out-grown JWN because MANY topics have been rehashed over and over again.....the site for some is not a challenge anymore or has become boring.......

  Punk Kids? I find that "some" seniors are set in their conservative ways or are used to a more victorian approach of social behavior.

  You may be surprized that there are few Kids on JWN. Punks (in your eyes) maybe. The majority are adults who have learned to speak up or defend themselves.

  Also, regarding the bible and bible principles? Many of us, including myself, know for a fact the bible has been altered. So how can you expect us to live according to a book that isn't free from fruad?

  I find your suggestion rather controlling myself.....
